At Corpus Christi General and Implant Dentistry we know sometimes our patients need special treatment and accommodations. This may be because of medical, developmental, physical, or cognitive conditions.
People suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, autism, spinal cord injuries, and many other conditions that may make standard dental treatment difficult still need quality dental care.
We make every effort to make each patient feel comfortable, safe,
and relaxed. We realize it takes compassion and understanding to
work with patients with special needs so that they can receive
dental services.
Dental Care for Those With Special Needs
Dr. Elizondo and our staff have gone through additional training to specifically address the care of patients with special needs. Not every dentist is equipped or able to offer dental service to people with special needs, and our office is fully equipped to make our patients with special needs feel welcome and at ease.
We offer most of our dental procedures to our patients with special needs so they can achieve a beautiful smile and great health. From dental exams and hygiene appointments to having a tooth extracted or receiving a dental crown, every patient will be capable of receiving the treatment they need.
APPOINTMENT POLICY
In order to provide quality care it is important that you understand our appointment policy. We value your time and make every effort to stay on or ahead of schedule. There are some instances when we run behind so please understand that you will be given the same courtesy.
Scheduling appointments: When you schedule an appointment you are confirming time set aside just for you. We will give you a reminder call or email 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations: We require a 48-hour cancellation notice to change appointments. Another appointment can be scheduled but it may take a few weeks to months before we can fit you back on the schedule.
Emergencies: We have an after hours answering service for patients
of record. The answering service personnel will direct your call to
the doctor who will contact you as soon as possible and direct
appropriate care.
